Im a soldier currently serving in Iraq with my 1980 trans sittin in the garage back home. im tring to have my folks help me build it up before i get home on mid-tour but i need some help from people who know more about this engine and how it will be affected by certain thing. please help me out if you can.

Right now it has a factory cam and im curious as to which kind will help improve it the most performance-wise for street and occasional trips to the drag strip?

im also up for anyones opinions or ideas about a new set of headers. mine are ok for now but thats with some serious doctoring and praying. i rather sure they wot survive a trip to the strip and back.

Also in need of a new exhaust system. mine is leaking and not sounding too great as it is. im a big fan of the roar that the car can make and want to make it louder and deeper. if there are any suggestions as to what type of ehaust i should get please let me know.
